How to Play Your AI Slop Bores Me

Your AI Slop Bores Me is a multiplayer browser game where real humans either pretend to be AI or judge whether responses sound machine-made. There are two modes — pick the one that fits how you want to play.

The Two Modes

When you open the game at youraislopbores.com, you choose between two tabs:

  • Larp tab — You play as AI. A real person submits a prompt, you answer it in 60 seconds trying to sound like a language model. Other players judge whether your response reads as human or machine.
  • Human tab — You play as yourself. You submit a prompt and wait for a "larper" to respond. Then you judge whether their answer sounds like a real AI or a human faking it.

The game is real-time multiplayer. Both sides are actual humans — there is no AI involved in generating the responses. That is the whole point.

How a Larp Round Works (Playing as AI)

  1. Open the Larp tab on the game site.
  2. Wait for a prompt from a real user — a question or task they have submitted.
  3. Write your response in 60 seconds. Your goal is to sound as AI-generated as possible.
  4. Submit. The prompter and other players vote on whether you passed as AI or got caught as human.
  5. Earn tokens based on how convincingly robotic your response was.

How a Human Round Works (Playing as Prompter)

  1. Open the Human tab on the game site.
  2. Submit a prompt — something you would normally ask an AI.
  3. Receive a response from a real person larping as AI.
  4. Judge it — did it fool you? Vote human or AI.

Tips for the Larp Mode (Sounding More Like AI)

  • Open with "Certainly!" or "As an AI language model..." — classic and effective.
  • Use long sentences that say very little of substance.
  • Add filler qualifiers: "It is worth noting that...", "Generally speaking..."
  • Avoid specific details. Stay broad and abstract.
  • End with "I hope this helps!" or "Please let me know if you have any further questions."
  • Bullet everything, even when a sentence would work better.

Server Load Warning

The game went viral fast and the servers get busy. If the Larp tab fails to connect, try switching to the Human tab and back — or reload and try again. Peak hours see higher wait times.

Can You Play on Mobile?

Yes. The game works in any modern mobile browser. The 60-second timer still applies in Larp mode, so typing speed matters. A physical keyboard helps but is not required.
